Wishland is a game for children. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains everything that happens with information in the app, in plain words.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email, no phone numbers.
- We never ask for a child's real name, age, photo or location.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts.
- Your island is saved only on your own device.
What stays on your device
Your island, your avatar's look, your sound settings and (if you play with friends) the nickname you typed are saved in your device's browser storage. They are not sent to us. Clearing the app's data deletes them.
Wishes
When you type a wish, only the text of the wish is sent to our server, which asks an AI service (Claude, by Anthropic) to design the object. Nothing else about you is sent with it. We do not store or log wish text. Anthropic processes it only to answer the request, under its commercial terms. If the AI is not available, the app makes wishes on your device instead.
Playing with friends
You can invite friends only by sharing a six-letter code or link. There is no searching for players and no chat: players can only send preset emotes like 👋 or "Wow!". Your nickname, avatar look and island are shared with the friends in your room while the room is open. Rooms exist only in our server's memory and disappear when everyone leaves. We never save or log nicknames.
Nicknames are checked so they can't contain links, long numbers or rude words. Please use a fun nickname, not a real name.
Reporting a wish
If a wish ever looks wrong, scary or unkind, use Menu → 🚩 Report a wish. We receive only the shapes and colors of that object, never the wish text or anything about who reported it, and we use reports to make wishes safer.
Technical information
Like every website, our server and our network provider (Cloudflare) see your device's internet address (IP address) while delivering the game. We use it only briefly in memory to prevent abuse (for example, too many wishes per minute). We do not keep logs of IP addresses.
Children
Because we don't collect personal information, there is nothing about your child for us to share, sell or delete. Parents who have questions can contact us below.
